A Defense..

Mr Farmer and Tempo allow me to put forward my case.

1, I have mentioned before at only doing the 130km
2, The 190km would have been fine but I know those roads so it would have been 'boring'
3, I had to get back for an evening shift at work
4, I had severe sunburn
5, I realised you still got a goodie bag for the 130km

Things to consider.....

I did all the major climbs.
How can i possibly be called lightweight !!
I finished on the second page of five in the results AND could have gone quicker with hindsight - I went far too slow on the first split.
I had no one with me to ride 'tempo'

Mr Farmer as a Lance aficionado I can, with some authority state that is not a picture of the great one, mearly an imposter trying to sell some beans and make a quick buck.

Those reasons seem reasonable and fair to me. In hindsight, the goodie bag for 130km seems the strongest and most fallable and one I can not counter argue. I may have opened myself up for some "tempo" abuse on the next ride however......
